Charming title eh? Anyways, I was thinking... we have tended to be an all friendly clan, very forgiving of most things. We're not really strict on anything but server rules. I hate to make a generic punishment system for these things, but I think its necessary. So here's my ideas:
Punishments for inactivity
Firstly, I think we should have an activity meter. The activity meter would range from 1-10. Anyone 5 or above is counted as active. Anyone below that is inactive. If you come below the number 5, you are at risk of inactivity punishments. Visiting these forums is essential. If you visit the server very often, but the forums not at all, your activity will never go above 4. If you do vice versa (visit the forums all the time but never the server), again you can't go above 4. Exceptions can be made if I am convinced of a reason why someone cannot visit these forums or the server (for example, at one point Paradox couldn't play JA at all). Also, I wil laccept someone saying they simply need a break from the game.
After a month of inactivity (0-4), a person is contacted tellling them that they need to be more active. If they dont respond to that email in seven days, they are demoted one rank. If they do respond, especially with a reason for their inactivity, they will not be demoted. If they give a reason, even one such as a break from JA, they will not need to play JA to escape demotion. They will however, be told to visit the forums at least every once in a while.
After a second month of inactivity, a person is immediately demoted, unless they have a VERY good reason. They will be contacted again and told that they need to show some activity to escape further demotions, or even kicking.
After a third month of inactivity, they will probably have a kick poll called on them. Again, if they give a good reason, they may be exempt of kicking or even demoton, but they'll probably be demoted a second time AT LEAST.
Voting is also required. If we do a system like what I'm describing, I will now call polls not using the forum poll system, but by requiring everyone to post and say what way they vote. I think it should be a requirement to vote. If they miss one or two polls, they will be warned about that. If they miss three, they are demoted one rank. They will be demoted one rank for every poll they miss after that. This applies to everyone, though, of course, non-High Command members won't be punished for not voting on High Command things.
I will notify people of all polls. I will also make all polls run for a minimum of five days. Furthermore, I will make exceptions if, for example, some one is on vacation or something.
