Though the purpose of this thread is mainly Issues with the Academy, it also serves as the center for training in general. I will personally answer any and all questions regarding combat in general (guns, force, sabers, etc.). You may either send me an e-mail, Caliburofsouls@hotmail.com, or post on this thread. I will put a few parts of the unfinished FAQ I started making later on in the next few weeks if I get a chance. Please do not ask questions that are already answered, or are as vague as "what's the best saber type" or "what's the best strategy vs. ____ saber?" because they are widely unanswerable unless specifics are given.

[glow=red,2,300]T3h update!!11[/glow]
-As I'm sure most of you have actually read the material I am unlocking the post. This post can now be used for questioning.
-HHAAHhahAHahAHhaHAHA----I lost the FAQ, well most of it, so I scrapped the project. Too much work. Just ask questions!
-I encourage anyone with a "Special trick" or "Fancy/neat technique" eccetera eccetera to post here. This is a place for discussing training, and I would prefer if the discussion where not limited to Tanweth and I.

That's a very general answer. There's quite a lot to dodging and counter attacks. Can you be more specific?

well when i did my first lesson with raven yesterday, i told him dodging was important and then did an exercise where i tried to attack him and he had to not get hit.
i then moved on to weak points of attacks and we did the same thing but he was trying to hit me when i was ending my move. (he did both very well)
next i will move on to speciels+ katas and their weak points adn counter.
is that a good lesson 1?

Counter attacks are more of a higher end point of training. He or she has to know the limits or boundaries of every swing, every special, before they can start counter attacking on their own. Teaching a few lesser counter attacks is alright, though.
