[glow=Blue,2,300]Possible Chain Formulae[/glow]
For this post I will be using the:
789
456
123
Directional system. With 8 being up (or forward), 4 being strafe left, 6 being strafe right, and 2 being backwards. Therefore, a 9 would be forward+right.
Possible Chain Formulae:
Single Saber-Blue: Any direction will chain with any other direction. No formulae required.
Single Saber-Yellow: Any swing from any other swing is possible, up to 5 swings per chain. (the swings seem to be random between 3 and 5)
Single Saber-Red (The big one): Up to 3 swings are possible per chain. Any two swings that are adjacent (Not counting the "5" position, since there is no neutral direction, it simply defaults to forward. This is the same for the "2" position, which also counts as a forward swing) on the chart WILL chain together, such as 7->4, 6->9, and 2->9. This can also work for 3->3, 4->4, etc. You can use two of the same directional swing in any chain, but no more than two. What's more, the swing you want two of must be the first one. Therefore, a combination such as 4->7->4 is possible, while one such as 4->7->7 is not (since 7 was not the first direction). Special cases in the chains are 9->3 and 7->1 which also work, breaking the "adjacent" rule. Also, 1->3 or 3->1 will also work, and within the "adjacent" rule (Since 2 is also forward, it is not counted, so 1 and 3 are adjacent) However 7->9 or 9->7 do not (since they are not adjacent because of 8).
Staff and Dual are infinite chains and any direction chains with any other, so they need no discussion. Whether or not they chain WELL however...
I think that's everything, let me know if I missed something.
