What do YOU think JK4 will be like? What would YOU like in it? What would YOU eat for dinner whilst playing this game? Give your thoughts and suggestions, NOW!
Me? I'd like:
New weapons New saber stances New force powers More levels
It'd be cool if there were 2 stories - Good and Evil. And it'd be cool if you could play as Jaden AND Kyle on different levels for example..
Evil Mode
1st level you go as Kyle, trying to find information as to where Jaden is... 2nd level would introduce Jaden as a playable character, looking for information to where the Valley of the Jedi is...

I think in JK4 they need to seriously reform the guns system. I hate the "uber" quake-style guns that dominate the game. I think that you shouold not have those guns, and should be able to kill a jedi with a good ol' E11. I think that we should have a class-based FFA game type (like Force Mod III) as well as a JA style FFA. I also think that Siege should be more tactical and movie-like (like Movie Battles II). I agree with Taffer, it would be nice to go back to JK1 style and be able to play as both good and evil. It would also be nice if the game was more RPG like, but this is an FPS genre, so I don't expect that to happen.

More of the same is always good, all balance issues aside (mainly the explosive guns). Also put in some uber-code specifically made to stop the JAmod team from making another JAmod. I'd also like to point out that this is not JK3, this is not JK2, this is JK. JK: Jedi Academy to be precise. Nor is it JKA, which would be Jedi Knight Academy. Better graphics engine is probably going to be part of it, and I completely disagree on the class system: one will be ''t3h m0r ub3r'' than the others and it'll cause MORE balance issues. Also: only change the explosives to be less spammable, don't touch the rapid fire such as e-11: It works fine as it is, you can kill jedi with it.

I think they should make a remake of JEDI KNIGHT: DARK FORCES 2, that was a great classic. I would love to see it in better graphics, but still has the same story line with a few little add ons (which I cant think of at this time ).

I agree, JA+ should never be allowed to ruin another game. My nickname for it is JJ++, Jedi Junk ++ (the later versions being "Deluxe"). You're too nitpicky. Yes, class-based systems tend to be unbalanced to one class often, but its doable. If Raven does extensive testing and decides to be more dedicated in the patches, I think it could work. HAH! You can only kill a very stupid jedi with an E-11. I think jedi's saber blocking should be less powerful. Like, if an imperial heavy repeater (primary fire) was shooting at them full blast, they'd only be able to block about 50% or less of the shots, more like DF2. So you can't just go at them saber drawn, need to add some evasion. The saber blocking is just a... bonus.

first and FOREMOST...STOP MAKING THE JEDI KNIGHT GAMES ON THE QUAKE III ENGINE!!!! IT WAS MADE FOR QUAKE, which is a SHOOTING game, not a JEDI game! raven and lucasarts need to make their OWN engine combatable for specific JEDI needs. they need to make it more realistic because the battle system in both JA and JK2 are just horrific. but again it's because they're using the QUAKE III ENGINE. god DAMN that pisses me off. stupid ass raven...

Tan, all you have to do is get close enough that they swing at you, and avoid the attack while shooting them. Hard to saber block mid-swing.

Sometimes simply deflecting the shots work (and they'll run out of ammo fast), and I have actually avoided getting hurt much doing that simply by "intelligently" swinging.

...if there is, I'm sure it will disappoint us all by still using Quake, and having most of the same flaws as JK3 and JK2...

just like Xae said, wheres JK3??? This is JA - Jedi Academy. It says no where in the title that it's a sequel to JK2. It might be like one of those sequel movies that don't include the actualy 'number' in the title but still technically there is no JK3 yet. Yet... If there will be a JK4 i'd hope they choose another engine more fit or even better, create their own.

Would be cool with stats on MP showing what kind of fighter you are, by observation on attacks, attitude and so on.
Oh, and of course, in Single Player, The Dark Engine ;D

JK4 will definitely not be on the Quake 3 engine. That engine is done with. If we ever see a JK4 (and I call it JK4 simply because this is often called JK3, it's for clarification), it'll probably be a while before we do. Raven is developing Quake 4 on the Doom 3 engine. Maybe after that is done they will do a JK4 on that engine.
